On New Year's Day with intermittent rain for much of the day 12 counters in 6
parties found 63 species.
Highlights were
Bald Eagle
Lapland Longspur
Horned lark (in the city of Owensboro)
Bufflehead on the Ohio
Savannah Sparrow
Brown Thrasher
American Pipit
Winter Wren
Expected but not found were
Cedar Waxwing
Loggerhead Shrike
Ruby Crowned Kinglet
Killdeer
Janet Howard
Owensboro, KY
