I just opened up ticket #69 to better track this issue. I attached my
config.log to it. There's numerous red flags in there. Maybe someone
can point out some things to try first. Not sure if this is just
limited to SDL or is it's a larger issue that needs to be fixed.
I've been able to build .so file with other packages.
