I might have been a bit too pessimistic about Haiku's progress
when I
set up the BePorts website. That's why it's not called HaikuPorts.
Perhaps it's a good idea if I change the wiki pages to emphasize
Haiku
ports (make Haiku the primary target)?
How would you do that? Reorder the table?
It's mainly the main wiki page that requires changing... not that
there
needs to be changed alot. The table could be reordered too.
Okay. I don't think the tables need to be / should be reordered.
But this does remind me of the gcc2 vs. gcc4 Haiku issue. It wouldn't
look good in the table, so I suggest we document this further down, as
subheadings maybe?
On another matter, on the OpenBeOS mailing list a proposal on a
package description format for future binary Haiku Optional Packages
has been posted. Maybe you want to take a look and see if parts can be
merged/aligned with your BePorts format.
