[AZ-Observing] Re: Hand Warmers

Another great idea for winter warmth is those ThermaCare heat wraps. A
lower back wrap works 8 hours or more and keeps the torso, especially the
kidneys, nice and warm and greatly enhances comfort on a cold night of
observing. They cost around $8 a pop, though.

Thanks for not thinking green. Those are the best! Is Sam's Club still a
"membership club"? If so, how bout for all us un-members, you buy a bunch of
60-packs and sell them for $15 each at the Xmas party. After tax (now 8.3 %
in
Phx, 8.5% in Glndl) you can clear $0.40 a sale. Still comes to 25 cents
apiece!

Sam's club currently has a 60 pack of the 10 hour, disposable hand warmers
for $13.48, which is $0.225 each. That should be enough to get anyone
through the winter observing season. At the store by me (83rd. & Bell rd in
Peoria) their in the camping section...
