Just to give my 2 cents worth, why not hold it at a time of the year
when the nights are warmer, as it has been in the past? From one report
it appears some were leaving early because of the cold weather, I know
one other individual who didn't attend because of the cold, and I myself
didn't attend because the prospect of having to stay overnight and sleep
(because I live near Prescott driving back the same night would be
impractical, and I am not the dedicated observer like some who stay up
till 5:00) and get up in the morning in the cold did not appeal to me at
all. Those who can weather the cold is admirable, and 20 years ago I
myself remember the challange of observing near Bloody Basin Road on
December 3rd or 4th, and feeling good about being in the cold, really
liking it, but not now.

Yes, I am now a pansy, something I have chided AJ about on this list
some years ago. :-)
