Was there any non-astronomer (Border Patrol or illegal) traffic at the site in
the past few nights?
The Herschel II observing list was put together by members of the Rose City
Astronomers, which is Portland's large astronomy club. As such it has a
northern-latitude bias. If I sorted the spreadsheet correctly, only 29 of the
400 objects are south of -20 degrees declination. That means that there's a
big swath from Centaurus through Sagittarius that is only scarcely covered.
