[AZ-Observing] Sentinel, I have returned

Hello all;
I went to Sentinel on Thursday evening. I observed for several hours, =
even
though there was lots of Air Force activity to the south. I mostly did =
some
double stars and a few Solar system objects. At 11PM a light rain =
started
and very dark clouds started coming over the horizon, so I packed up and
made it back home about 1:30 AM.
Obviously, today (Fri) is very cloudy and I have no plans to return =
because
of the wedding obligation I mentioned for Saturday. I do hope that at =
least
a few folks will make it out for Saturday evening and do the Solar =
System
challenge. I looked for Comet McNaught among the clouds and it is very
faint and low surface brightness in the Nexstar 11 SCT.
I seeing on Mars was quite good for an hour after twilight, some nice =
detail
across the disk at 330X.
I am going to create another post concerning the future of the Sentinel =
Star
Gaze.
Take Care;
Steve Coe
