Dear all,

I observed the Geminids meteor shower tonight from 1:45am to 3:30am at the
Four Peaks rest area off highway 87. Overall it was a very nice display. There
were four of us, we saw a meteor every half a minute for an average ZHR of
about 120 over a period of about 30 minutes. Later, we did not observe really
seriously, but still saw a good number of meteors. One particularly bright one
(~mag -2) streaked from a point west of Orion's belt down towards the horizon
over approximately 30 degrees of the sky. I didn't see a trail left behind
though, but the moonlight was interfering this night. On another two
occassions, I saw two successive meteors originating from near the same point
in the sky south east of Cassiopeia (all four total were from this general
area).
