[AZ-Observing] Anti-Javascript Spam Filter

Just something I though of that might be useful, feel free to pass it on...
Having recently gotten several spam messages that contained especially
annoying pop-up and pop-unders I created a simple way to kill them. The
new one I recently started seeing is a pop-under window that randomly
pops other windows to the front on a irregular basis. The window can
not be killed either, I have to close down Netscape to stop it. These
are a particular favorite of websites advertising obscene material.
My answer, to create an e-mail filter that looks for the keywords
"onLoad" and "onUnload" in the body of the message. These are the
keywords that are used to start javascripts and popup other windows.
When my email (Netscape Communicator) sees them I just outright delete
the message. If you want to allow some javascript in your email then
just set the filter for the keyword "onUnload" this is the one that will
pop up a window when you close the first one, a tactic not generally
used used by legitimate e-mail.
Hope this helps!
Andrew
