In Steve's old 10" f5 Newtonian the nucleus is pretty much averted only.
The comet is definitely more diffuse than a few nights ago when I last
viewed it.

We set up a couple of telescopes in the driveway this evening for the
tricker treaters and saw no distinct nucleus.

The first few deep CCD images just came up on my
screen outside, and looks like tonight the comets core
is gone. I see only a diffuse glow in the red and
green frames. Maybe the hlue frame will have
something...
