[AZ-Observing] Leonids or Leonots....Our Eagle Eye experience

Hey All,
Much as the comments have already stated, Chuck Akers, Rick Tejera, and myself
had very much the same experience last nite at Eagle Eye. The sky was clear,
we had the warm gear (and the sense to use it), but the Leonids just didn't
impress as much as last year. We saw the same peak that had been mentioned,
with it's sharp rise and fall, but the "storm" just wasn't as "Ooooh and
Aaaah!" producing as last year. We had noticed early on that quite a few
seemed to be slower than last year, and I would guess that at best, we saw
maybe 100 per hour. We had 4~5 anti-Leonids, and about 3 really bright ones (1
really lit up the ground) during our outing that lasted from 12:30 'til 5.
It was nice, but the hype really didn't do it justice....
I think next year, I'll sleep in... :-)
