Leonid Meteor Shower
Nov. 19, 2002
Avondale Az, 2:30 to 4:30 AM, Mag. 4.5, no clouds,
67 meteors came into view out of leo, three came from the west heading east.
Many were very faint and streaked across the sky coming into view at various
locations away from leo.
At least two were very bright (put jupiter to shame) and left trails behind
themselves that lingered for a few seconds.
It was a fun night, can hardly wait for the Geminids, plan on finding darker
skies for the next run, work permitting.
