Why don't amateur astronomers lobby for "astronomy reserves" to be =
created
in dark-sky parts of our National Forest system? If we picked areas =
already
served by road, there need be no cost associated with setting something =
like
this. It's just a matter of us putting dibs on our use of given acreage,
just as hunters and Greens do, to get exclusive use of them and prevent
others from driving us out.
