I'll raise my two cents...

Splitting the field based on departure is a good idea.  Zones should also
segregate those who do astrophotography from those who visually observe.
Furthermore, those zones can be separated into smaller sub-groups, like
planetary observers, bright object, deep sky, music lovers, smokers,
Schmidt-Cassagrains, Dobsonians/Newtonians/Refractors/Lurie-Houghtons,
Afghanis, etc.

Advice:  Stay away from the light.  Give warning if you leave.  And worse
case scenario, close your eyes and shield your scope.
