I agree that we have a problem, and that the solution isn't immediately
available, but I think I know where to start..... For example, Marshall
Daily made absolutely sure that the group he invited knew all the rules, was
parked in such a way that they didn't have to back up, had disarmed their
dome lights, and then walked them out with a red flashlight when they left
around 9:30.  It's obvious that first timers will observing these simple
rules, IF they know about them.

BUT.....on the other hand, I'm also sure that most of the 4 or 5 back up
lights that trashed my night vision were by more experienced folks who
should have known better.  (even if you're been to only 1 star party, you
should know the rules...) What am I going to do about it?  From now on, I'm
going to get to know my neighbor(s), make sure that they're headed the right
direction, find out when he/she is leaving, etc..  At least I can give
everyone else warning even if my neighbor doesn't.......
