They have an expiration date on them. Old ones will still work at diminished
capacity so get some fresh ones and use the old ones for dew heaters.

Not in Arizona, heat must break them down, (they kept forever in Indiana),
if you keep them in the truck box like I do, they will not work after a
year. I buy a couple new ones every year out here and throw out the old
ones.
