Hi, everyone!
We're delighted that a couple of you asked about holding another public
observing session; I mentioned it on Channel 12 on Sunday and we're telling
folks about it both in our planetarium shows and on the telephone.
If you are planning on assisting, please let me know as soon as possible.
Information about the session tomorrow (Friday):
* Our proposed times are 7:30 to 9 p.m. After 9pm the science center will
be closed.
* Although it was initially proposed on AZ Observing as a SAC event, it will
be a multi-club event; everyone is welcome.
* Telescopes can be set up in both Heritage Square (better for general
observing) and on the outside 3rd floor terrace (better view of the eastern
horizon); power is available on the terrace.
* We'll be happy to validate your parking as a volunteer; you should plan on
parking in Heritage Square (Monroe and 5th street)
* If you have a large telescope and would like to drive into Heritage
Square, that should be alright.
* the Arizona Science Center will be open for FREE to adults from 5:30 to 9
pm tomorrow evening as part of Adults' Night Out; we expect several hundred
people. We plan on setting up a sign in the lobby making them aware of the
observing session. And of course you are all invited inside.
* One of my staff, Brian DeWelles, will be available throughout the
observing session to help you with any needs; he'll have the validation
stickers.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

Subject: [AZ-Observing] ASC Public Session Friday et. al.
When it rains it pours. <cringe>
Unfortunate choice of words, but don't forget ASU also has a session going
Friday, see below, per Thom McGrath. EVAC has a thing going too Friday in
Gilbert as well as us at ASC downtown Phx from 7:30-9:00+ open to all. And
then there's Flagstaff too on Friday, remember, the Coconinos, with a Bill
Ferris talk at Lowell on Saturday night.
