In his later years, Peter published two science fantasy books, "Dragon
Three-Two-Niner", and "Asterisms", as well writing or co-authoring a
number of Sci-Fi short stories, and articles, including some on flying
for Arizona Flyways magazine. His two successful books on telescopes
are both widely quoted and still available.
He developed a successful video time inserter that synchronizes against
WWV radio time signals, which is still in productive use for marking and
analyzing occultation tapes.
He was President of the Saguaro Astronomy Clubin the 1980s; and helped
organize a number of occultation observing "expeditions".
