[AZ-Observing] Re: chi Cygni bright

Just took a look at it, and it's an obvious naked-eye star even from Mill and
Southern. There is a light curve for the past year or so at the AAVSO site
which indicates that it only reached about magnitude 5 at the last maximum. I
wonder how often it gets brighter than 4th mag. This is a case where the most
casual observer would notice that something is "wrong" with Cygnus.
Jupiter is looking good with the GRS transiting, and the Straight Wall is near
the terminator on the moon. Nice to have a clear night at last.
