Stan, you might give JPL's Space Calendar a try.  It may be found at
http://www2.jpl.nasa.gov/calendar/[1] where it currently lists meetings from
now until August 2007.  Here are two entries that might be of interest for
this year -
Aug 14-18 - IAU Symposium 237: Triggered Star Formation in a Turbulent
ISM[2], Prague, Czech Republic 21-24 - AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and
ControlConference[3], Keystone, Colorado 

Not sure you want to go to the Czech Republic and no, I don't know what AIAA
means.

There are many other entries, including ones having to do with comets and
asteriod approaches.
