[AZ-Observing] Re: Cabin for Observing?

Actually I have stayed at Casitas de Gila recently, just this spring.
It is VERY nice as well as dark and on my "go again" list. I would
recommend it for astronomy, I only got one night of observing as I was
travelling with my wife and she had other sorts of vacation ideas in
mind. A little more expensive ($120/night), very comfortable, elevation
is about 4800ft. The only possible issue is making sure light from an
adjacent casita is not an issue, ask for one of the units on either end
or setup the telescope away from the casitas.

It was my experience at C de G that got me thinking of finding other
places that might also fit observing requirements. Maybe a little less
expensive if you don't need the first class accomodations, and hopefully
at a much higher elevation.

Thanks for the suggestion!
