[AZ-Observing] Sunspots on Friday

Greetings all;
Lots of sunspots today! If you have a solar filter, break it out over the
weekend and look at the sun. There are 5 spot groups, 3 of which are very
prominent. Huge dark umbra surrounded with an immediately obvious penumbra.
All the big groups are surrounded by dozens of tiny spots that follow them like
baby ducks. Plenty of fine detail to see in all these areas. Don't miss it.
These observations are from my backyard observatory with a 7 inch f/15 Maksutov
stopped down to 3.5 inches with a piece of Baader solar film. I used 85X and
115X and the seeing was 3/10...pretty good for the Sun.
Take Care;
Steve Coe
