IAU Circular 7948 and MPEC 2002-P10 show a first preliminary
assumed parabolic orbit for the new comet:
T = 2002 Sept. 9.418 TT Peri. = 78.703
Node = 330.959 2000.0
q = 0.49467 AU Incl. = 58.666
2002 TT R. A. (2000) Decl. Delta r Elong. Phase m1
Aug. 4 4 25.20 - 6 35.5 0.290 0.960 70.9 92.5 7.1
5 4 39.30 - 3 09.5 0.279 0.942 67.2 96.9 7.0
6 4 54.42 + 0 33.2 0.270 0.925 63.3 101.6 6.8
7 5 10.54 + 4 29.4 0.263 0.908 59.2 106.4 6.7
8 5 27.61 + 8 34.5 0.259 0.891 54.9 111.3 6.6
It looks as though this will be a binocular object close to the Sun
starting in the morning then moving to evening over the next several weeks.
