[AZ-Observing] Question about clear sky statistics in Arizona & Tucson
- From: Herve Dole <hdole@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

While waiting the monsoon season to end, I tried to find on the web the
following information, without great success .. Maybe some of you know
the answer, or can direct me to the appropriate documents !
- what is the average number per year of clear nights in Arizona ? in
Tucson ?
By "clear" one can understand, either (if we go to this level of
details, I'll be happy !):
- with some clouds but allowing amateur observations;
- without any clouds;
or
- photometric;
- spectroscopic.
I found on http://geography.asu.edu/azclimate/lcd/tucson.html the same
statistics, but for the day time. I found also the nice statistics at
Lowell by Brian Skiff
http://www.lowell.edu/cgi-bin/www/clouds/clouds.cgi . (may be I didn't
look carefully enough the Kitt Peak web site ?).
Thanks
Herve Dole
