I have been basically offline for 3+ weeks, so I'm struggling to catch
up for the moment.

The overquoting error means you have included too much quoted material
in your reply. When you reply to a message, the text for that message
is included in you reply.

I deliberately place this limit to force people include only the
pertinent parts of a message to which they are replying. It's way too
easy to just blind include everything. Messages were hundreds of
lines long, with only one line of new text. These messages would
include replies to replies to replies to...

If a message exceeds this limit, a message is sent to me requesting
whether to accept or reject the message. (There's a third option
which should allow me to edit the message, but the two times I've used
it, the headers of the messages were mangled.) The default is reject
if I don't send an accept message, which is the most common if I'm not
around.

I would like everyone to take the time to trim the text of the
messages they are replying to. Leave body of the message allow, but
trim trailers and signatures. I believe the limit is 25 consecutive
lines of quote material.
