Job opening at Astronomy magazine
Assistant editor position available at world's largest astronomy magazine.
WAUKESHA, WI - Astronomy magazine - the world's largest magazine for astronomy
enthusiasts - seeks an assistant editor. The ideal candidate is a
detail-oriented journalist who knows astronomy, can multitask, and meets
deadlines. An educational background in astronomy, as well as active experience
in and an enthusiasm for the subject a big plus. Duties include editing,
writing, reading manuscripts, researching and producing material for the
magazine, and contributing to its web site (Astronomy.com). Candidates should
have a bachelor's degree in physics, English, or journalism.
Astronomy promotes the science and hobby of astronomy through high-quality
publications that engage, inform, entertain, and inspire.
Published by Kalmbach Publishing Company in Waukesha, Wisconsin, the office is
located 15 minutes from downtown Milwaukee and Lake Michigan. The area boasts a
thriving art scene, college and professional sports, festivals year-round, as
well as easy access to hiking, camping, fishing, and boating.
