[AZ-Observing] Re: Vekol in jeopardy

I thought that was a truck stop right there at that same exit to the east,
on the S side of I-8. I guess someone thinks that they can build a bigger
and better one at the next exit 5 miles east down the highway and force the
current stop out of business. It could then join the other empty shells of
failed business buildings nearby as monuments to "progess". If you're
familiar with the nearby ghost town of a truck stop I'm talking about, just
north of I-8 on the road that crosses the highway just east of Vekol (5
mi.), I've recently noticed that it has been freshly painted and looks nice
compared to its prevous graffiti camouflage motif. However, I figured this
was more likely an exercise in punishment for graffiti perps than an attempt
to renovate this site for the purpose of restoring it as a viable business
enterprise. Anyway, I guess a new truck stop next door makes as much sense
as having multiple fast-food burger joints in the same strip mall.
