I would certainly think f/2.8 would be no good, but was thinking
that mainly you could halve your exposures at f/4 or go somewhat shorter
at the half-stop in-between there and f/5.6 (i.e. f/4.7). But it is not
surprising that having to deal with separate blue, red, and unfiltered
"luminiance" images makes tougher demands on refractive optics.
