Note also the Lowell Star Party going on 17-20 June. The observing
site for this (apart from all-night viewing with the Clark on Mars Hill)
is the parking lot at Arizona Snow Bowl, at about 9000 feet. See the
star party Web site (kraken.lowell.edu) for details about access.
Regarding the Snowbowl Parking lot site, there is a Flagstaff Medical Center
event (~300 people) at the Snowbowl the night of June 19. The event is
scheduled to go until midnight and attendees will be using the parking lot. Do
not
expect dark-sky star party conditions at Snowbowl that night.
My wife's in charge of the event and I'll be there with my 10-inch to provide
views to the guests.
Regards,
Bill in Flagstaff
