[AZ-Observing] Re: Fires in the Northland

This is all very interesting and confirms my lack of faith in the
Forest Service. The PNF put out a "Boundary Project" study which
would use prescribed burns and requested comments. I sent in several
pages as the large booklet for the project had no mention of
protecting private property during prescribed burns.
The FS assured everyone they would have complete control. They seem
so confident that they have closed and plan to obliterate many
inter-forest roads. There have been several big battles going on
between forest property owners and the FS. It has become very obvious
the FS has no idea what they are doing.

While those who do not have forest property or live close to the
forest most likely have little concern, those of us in the forest
fear for our lives and property due to FS actions. When our concerns
were stated to the FS their reply was "that is the penalty for living
in the forest."

I have a web site devoted to these issues if anyone is interested.
