Tom:
I just purchased a pair of Cannon 10x30 Stabilizing binocs from Camera City
in NY online for $305.
I am very impressed. The price was the best I found. Check online with
Cannon for details and spec's.

Subject: [AZ-Observing] Binoculars - opinions?
Hi,
My 20yr old 1st pair of cheap binocs are ready to be replaced by a "nicer"
pair.
I was looking at the Orion 7x50s using BK4 glass, ~$150, but I had the
feeling this was too high a price.
I then looked into the Minolta (a name you can trust?) 7x50 Classic II
binocs, which uses BK7 glass, and has quite a high brightness rating as
compared to most of the other ones (51 vs 25-39). The FOV is ~45 degress,
which is a bit smaller than some of the wide fields, but still sounds good
enough.
These run about $100.
Does anyone have any comments or advise on this subject?
Thanks in advance,
Tom
