[AZ-Observing] Comet 73P from backyard in Phoenix

Howdy all;
I just saw both the B and C fragments of 73P in my little 8X42 binoculars
from my back yard in Phoenix, Arizona with the 99% illuminated Moon in the
sky! That is a high surface brightness comet. My observation is from 1:50
AM, MST.
The B fragment is much brighter and larger. It is quite elongated; I would
say 3 degrees long and half a degree wide. I estimate it is 4th magnitude,
I compared it to an out of focus Alberio and the comet is a little fainter.
I know that this is not the best method because the comet is elongated, but
I consider it trustworthy enough to give me a relative value. The C
fragment is at least one magnitude fainter, round in shape and much lower
surface brightness. It is about one degree in size and grows with averted
vision.
So, what are the chances the comet will still be this bright when the Moon
gets out of the evening sky?
Clear Skies to us all;
Steve Coe
