The Thunderbird Park Star Party was held last night (Saturday, 6 May 
2006) in Thunderbird Park in North Phoenix.

There were several dozen telescopes and many hundreds if not 
thousands of visitors. The Park Commission furnished a shuttle to 
carry people back and forth from a parking area near the front of the 
park. This seemed to work well and the telescope field remained 
fairly dark.

All in all it was a beautiful evening and a great turnout of both 
telescopes and observers.
