Howdy all;
A listing of red stars to observe is now posted on the Saguaro Astronomy
Club web site. Link: www.saguaroastro.org
The list contains the name, position, magnitude, B-V value, spectral =
class
and some notes on 333 stars. It just turned out to be that many; rumors
that I stopped there because it is half of "666" are untrue;-)
A big "thank you" to Brian Skiff for his help finding several databases =
that
led to this listing. I also added stars from my notes which included a =
deep
yellow or orange star which I observed.
I have no doubt that some of the fainter stars here are just going to be =
a
dim off color star in a Milky Way field of view, but many are worth =
chasing.
I added in several that are famous members of a multiple star or star
cluster.
If you enjoy stars with color, this will be a good place to start. As =
time
goes by, send me some details if you find one I left out or any stinkers =
to
subtract from the list. There is always room for version 3.0, later.
Enjoy;
Steve Coe
