Update on Comet NEAT:

Last night from the Phoenix Glare near I-17 and Greenway: Being ~40 degrees
up in the western sky helped the view a lot. Estimated coma about a 1/4
degree in the 11x80's with about a degree of faint tail off the coma. Could
see the coma naked eye, just barely.

Using the Cave 8" f4.5 on Sat. & Sun. eves. from the same location I could
not see any tail in the low power eyepiece. The ion & dust tails must be the
same color as the Phoenix sky fog! The comet was about 35 degrees up in the
sky at that time.
