Gee, didn't Meade demonstrate its vaporware at RTMC? I have a friend at work
who ordered one thru Guild Camera in Phx and it took about 4 mos. to get it
after waiting 6 mos. with another company. Hasn't had a chance to take it
out yet, but I want to look thru it too. The "Astronomy for Everyone" people
had a 10" LXD-55 at the Publiic Star Party at Estrella and it looked
impressive to me if a somewhat bulky mount, and they said they liked it. I
didn't get to star test it and there was a line anyway. They were showing
M44. They set up at Lake Pleasant some weekends; look in the paper and chase
them down some time if you want to see one in action.
