Iris Coffee
Want to observe till dawn and then observe sun spots all day? In a large
coffee mug put six spoons of instant coffee, 300 ml Red Bull, two crushed No
Doz tablets and top off with high octane cola. Sip steadily until your eyes
are like saucers - additional advantage is that no mosquitoes will fly within
two meters of you. However, daylight COULD find you not commencing your solar
observing program, but instead stumbling around the observing field bumping
into trees, cars, people, portable toilets etc. Caution. Do not ingest if you
are in frail health, taking any prescribed medication or are of tolerably
sound mind.

Star parties are fun, but sometimes you just need to go out alone.
I love star parties, the social aspect is as important as the observing,
