[AZ-Observing] scope adaptation

Looking for ideas on slicing my 12.5" dob tube in half for cartage. And no,
not the long way... (Had to sell my station wagon and get a sedan for my
wife. So my dilemma is either to cut down the dob or sell my motorcycle... so
I'm
really looking for a win-win, keep 'em both scenario here!) I was hoping to
find some "latchy thingys" at Ace Hardware that I could attach around the
outside of the tube before I take out the saw. I don't yet have the
time/interest
in going truss tube at this point. "A wise man accepts counsel..."
