Yeah, you are right. That's too low for me.

I see the infrared gang suggest alpha2 LIB (Dec= -16). While it's a 
double star is should still work fine as the separation is great 
enough to be handled by the diaphragm size. That looks like it may be 
a better match, however the Yale Bright Star Catalog indicates it is 
a suspected variable too. If I can find some information on it, that 
may be the best comparison star assuming it is not significantly 
variable. BTW, most if not all stars vary. It's a matter of how much 
you can live with and the periods. Finding good comparison stars is 
the hardest and most important part of photometry.
