Hello all,

On May 9th, a group from Luke Air Force Base is hosting their third annual 
public star party at Estrella Mountain Ranch Elementary School near Goodyear 
about 30 miles SW of Phoenix (roughly 180th Avenue & Elliot Rd.).  

A little about the site:  We're setting up on an open grass field next to the 
elementary school.  The school has agreed to cut the lighting at the school for 
the evening, and limiting magnitude in the area is generally around 5.  A first 
quarter moon sets at 1:42am that evening.

Being that I only live a mile from there, I've volunteered to help out during 
the party.  John Silvia asked me to spread the word about the party, that 
they're looking for additional scopes to come out and setup for public viewing.
