[AZ-Observing] Comet Ikeya-Zhang - March 02

Comet Ikeya-Zhang was quite good from Vekol last night. It is at the
naked-eye
threshold, easily seen with 10X70 binocs. I observed the comet with an 8"
SCT
at f10 using a 32mm SWA for 64X/1.1 degree. The comet has a fairly large,
bright, teardrop-shaped coma on the order of 3 min diameter and a very
bright,
non-stellar nucleus about 20 sec in diameter (sizes are rough estimates).
The
tail is almost a degree long to the ENE (assuming I got those mirror image
star diagonal directions right).
