You mean like when I was observing with him last month at Eagle Eye with my
20" in Eridanus and I said Hey Steve come look at this one! Bet you haven't
seen that one (NGC 1300) with arms. I looked back at my Kepple & Sanner NSOG
and it was his drawing there.

That's the beast! You guys are great. My notes usually say, "neat object",
"faint smudge", "better than the Wray photo", etc.
I was once observing some nondescript NGC cluster in the Milky Way with my
long f /6.7 12.5". Steve Coe walked past, sighted briefly along the
telescope, and said, "Ah, you must be looking at NGC xxxx (whatever it was)".
He was right.
Great to know such superb observers of the visible universe.
