HI all,

My last image from '07 is the spectacular close
approach in the sky of the naked eye comet Tuttle and
the M33 Triangulum spiral. This occured on the
evening of December 30th, and my image at 7 pm shows
the comet right on the edge of this face on galaxy.

The encounter was photographed continuously in a long
sequence for 3 hours straight. Two data streams
recording the event were brought together for this
image at 7:02pm:

Notice the comet has a long thin gas tail extending to
the upper right. I have not seen a shot yet from this
apparition that shows this feature.

Chris
