... Air Stagnation Advisory In Effect For The Valleys Of Southwest And
South-Central Arizona... Including The Phoenix Metro Area... Until 1000
AM MST Sunday Morning...
High Pressure Will Continue To Shift Into The Southwest States The Next
Few Days. The Combination Of Stable Conditions And Light Winds Will Lead
To Marginal Ventilation Today Into Sunday Morning Over The Valleys Of
Southwest And South-Central Arizona... East Of The Colorado River
Valley. Thus An Air Stagnation Advisory Is In Effect Until 1000 AM
Sunday Morning. Somewhat Stronger Winds And Deeper Mixing Heights Are
Anticipated To Develop During The Day Sunday Which May Be Sufficient To
Avoid Stagnant Conditions.
Please Note That An Air Stagnation Advisory Is Based On Meteorological
Conditions And Is Not An Air Pollution Advisory Or Forecast. Air
Pollution Advisories And Forecasts Are Issued By County And State Air
Quality Departments.
