Not all VST plug-ins work in Audacity. I'm not interested in testing it
myself so I will look for that vocal remover plug-in.
In the meantime, you can check the following link, it has many VST
plug-ins listed which do work in Audacity (the list contains file names
ending with .dll extensions, starting several screens from the top of the
page):

If you want to get a particular plug-in from this list, you need to google
for it - to my understanding, this is to avoid possible licensing and/or
copyright issues. That's the same reason why the VST enabler is not
included with Audacity, you need to acquire it separately from Audacity
and install in the plug-ins folder.
