Hi Rick,

Regarding scrubbing - not yet, but it's one of the most 
frequently-requested new features. Audacity version 1.2.5 is being 
prepared to be released, but I don't know what's been fixed or added in 
it.

As for your computer-related question - best advice is, test it and check 
what results you get. When I wrote in a recent post that my computer is 
too slow to do good quality multi-tracking, I meant specifically that it 
runs at 233Mhz, much much slower than your 'puter.
