Yes, particularly the "True Color Sensors" with colorimetric response look very interesting (though the nearly perfectly looking spectral response curves in the data sheet are measured with bandwidh (FWHM) of 27nm, and the data sheet explicitly mentions in a footnote, that the sensor responses are not as ideal as the curves suggest, when spiky narrow-band spectra are being captured).

Compared to the TAOS *TCS230* RGB sensors (used in the french project) which contain an integrated current-to-frequency converter, the interfacing to a microcontroller seems to be less comfortable, since these sensors are bare photo diodes only, thus external photo diode amplifiers and ADC (or currency-to-frequency converts) are necesssary.
