Hi Preben,

Thank you, yes It's working fine with icc profiles.
It would be nice, if there is a free VRML viewer, that can load
multiple (at least two) files.

Of course you create combined VRMLs with Argyll, but if you have
single VRML files I don't know of a program which allows to "overlap"
several VRMLs. Some viewers allow to load several documents at least
in different windows.

Hi Peter,

there is a relatively painless way to load several VRML files simultaneously: you can e.g. use parallelgraphics's proprietary VRML extension "DropSensor" to add aditional shapes via drag and drop (see <http://www.parallelgraphics.com/products/sdk/>) -- but you need the Cortona player and have to write special WRL files to use the DropSensor. FreeWRL or Instant don't like this extension an might even crash.

I've been building some VRML files with drag and drop support to explain things like gamut mapping or device gamuts in training courses. They are really useful to put such things across -- but, as they require Parallelgraphics's player, you can only use them when you can assure that your audience uses the right player (e.g. in a training classroom). AFAIK the current Cortona player doesn't work on Intel Macs with Leopard (at least it doesn't work on my MacBook Pro).

Here are two examples. They work with MacOS X 10.4.10 / Safari 2.0.4 / Cortona Plug-in 1.0.1d13, but might *crash* or *freeze* other browsers or players!:

As VRML and X3D support adding and removing objects through Java and Javascript, it should be not too complicated to implement similar functions for other players, but players like FreeWRL and Instant Player are still work in progress.
