Just for the record and for the fun. I test this on my amd64 laptop. I
normally don't run 64bit but I downloaded the ubuntu-7.10 64bit
version for a livecd test.
I was able to compile argyllcms. I did after booting it up:
sudo apt-get install build-essential
#enable universe in /etc/apt/source.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install jam
sudo apt-get install libxxf86vm-dev libxinerama-dev libxss-dev
unzip argyll.zip
sh makeall.ksh
#
insall argyll udev rules
sh makepakagebin.ks creates a zip, but it only contains the folder ref
and doc. The bin and libusb folder is missing. But I was able to run
dipcal and dispread from the spectro directory against my eye-one pro.
So I don't know why makepakagebin fails.
