Hello All.
FACTORS TO CAUSE F4 TO AUTODIAL NOW DISCOVERED
==============================================
I have found the cause of the F4 key causing autodial... although the
mechanism escapes me.
The procedure was to install a fresh copy of 173GPLL into a temporary
subdirectory, and partially set it up with the Wizard.
I then checked that the faults did NOT occur with the default
configuration. This configuration was then renamed ARACHNE.OLD to
save it.
The ARACHNE.CFG file from my normal working install was copied
over and it was verified that the two faults DID still occur.
A line by line comparison between ARACHNE.OLD and ARACHNE.CFG
showed that the main changes were 29 lines added after
[auto-added] in the working one.
It was subsequently found that if "Editor c:\tse\q.exe" was
enabled and "Autodial" set to "Yes" the F4 would always autodial.
ARACHNE.OLD was copied to overwrite my ARACHNE.CFG file thus
restoring the default configuration. Then the line "Editor
c:\tse\q.exe" was added after [auto-added], and "Autodial" was
set to "Yes".
F4 would now autodial every time!
I haven't checked this with 173GPLF. Maybe it's something that
happens only with the Lite version....

DELAYS IN VARIOUS FUNCTIONS NOW GONE -- CAUSE UNKNOWN.
=====================================================
During the testing for both these problems, I found that
commenting out the 29 lines after [auto-added] would eliminate
them both. Removing the ";" at the beginning of each line would
bring them both back.
To facilitate the testing I added blank lines after each bloack
of seven (eight in the last block) and removed the ";" from each
block in turn. This made the finding of the F4 problem a lot
faster, but for some reason I was unable to cause the delay
problem to re-occur.
After un-commenting all the [auto-added] lines, and removing the
blanks, the delay fault still did not occur.
A line by line comparison with a previously saved version showed
no differences between the files. I have been unable to cause the
delay problem to re-occur.
That one will have to remain a mystery.
